Join us for an unforgettable day at Camp Bandage – Grand Lake, an annual safety camp and kids’ fun fair dedicated to promoting safety awareness through engaging educational activities! Since its inception in 2017, Camp Bandage has taken place at the scenic Grand Lake RV Resort on the beautiful Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees. This free outdoor event is designed to provide essential safety, health, and first aid training for children of all ages, fostering a sense of awareness and responsibility among young participants. A Community Effort Each year, Camp Bandage brings together several groups and organizations from the Grand Lake community, all committed to educating children in a fun and diverse environment. Families can look forward to a day filled with interactive learning experiences and demonstrations on a wide range of safety topics, including: Safe Outdoor Recreation Water Safety Health and First Aid Weather Awareness Fire Safety Injury Prevention Substance Abuse Prevention Meet Your Heroes One of the event’s highlights is the opportunity for children to meet and interact with local first responders, including fire, police, and EMTs. Young attendees can explore a variety of emergency vehicles firsthand, including helicopters, fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, patrol boats, cranes, and a fire boat.
