The amphitheater’s first production, "The Man Who Ran", told the story of Jonah, Jesus, and the great fish. This production ran for 20 years and set the stage for future successes, including "The Elijah Factor", which brought the powerful story of the prophet Elijah to the stage. In 2017, "Damascus Road: Where Saul Becomes Paul, the Greatest Apostle of All Times" debuted, telling the story of Saul’s persecution of the early Church and his conversion on the road to Damascus. A Vision Realized The concept of Bethesda Free Clinic was envisioned over two years before opening by Dr. Pat Belford, a devoted member of the church. Originally, the plan was to operate at least one Saturday a month, but through God's blessings and the generosity of medical personnel and volunteers, the clinic is proud to be open every Saturday, providing vital services to those in need. Today, the South Grand Lake Regional Airport stands as a testament to the hard work, determination, and community support that has turned a simple grass strip into a fully operational, state-of-the-art airport serving both personal and business aviation. Thanks to the contributions of local lake organizations, the town of Ketchum, and the airport's dedicated volunteers, including the Girlfriends of the Airport, the airport has undergone significant upgrades. With the addition of an asphalt runway, the airport now offers full-service facilities for both prop and jet aircraft, meeting the needs of aviators and visitors alike. The airport is a key gateway for travelers looking to visit the Grand Lake area, extending the region’s reach beyond the typical driving radius. By attracting visitors who would otherwise not have considered traveling to the area, the airport is helping to drive economic growth and tourism, with an estimated annual economic impact of $2.5 million. Future plans for the airport are even more exciting, with the development of new features that will make it an even more significant asset for the region.
