Be part of history as Vinita celebrates the Route 66 Centennial with a two-day festival packed with entertainment, family fun, and classic Americana on June 5–6, 2026. As the oldest town along Oklahoma’s stretch of Route 66, Vinita is pulling out all the stops for this milestone event.
Festival highlights include a spectacular car show featuring hundreds of classic and custom vehicles, hot air balloons with tethered rides, free live music, local art and quilt exhibits, food vendors, shopping, and activities for all ages. Families can enjoy interactive attractions including a giant Hot Wheels track, LEGO art competition, kids games, a foam zone, and much more. Whether you're a Route 66 enthusiast, a car lover, or simply looking for a great weekend of fun, this centennial celebration is one you won't want to miss.

Classic cars, custom trucks, and incredible motorcycles will take center stage during the Route 66 Centennial Celebration in downtown Vinita on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Vehicle enthusiasts from across the region are invited to cruise into historic Route 66 and be part of this once-in-a-century event.
Participation is free, and awards will be presented to standout entries. The first 100 registered vehicles will receive a commemorative dash plaque to mark this historic celebration. Check-in begins at 9:00 AM, judging takes place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and awards will follow. Whether you're entering a vehicle or simply admiring the collection, this showcase of automotive history is sure to be one of the festival's most popular attractions.
Kids of all ages are invited to join the fun at the 3rd Annual energyKIDS Day! Hosted by Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, this exciting community event is open to both NOEC members and non-members and offers a day packed with entertainment, hands-on activities, and family fun.
Children can enjoy bounce houses, obstacle courses, face painting, balloon artists, touch-a-truck experiences, games, and the opportunity to meet the linemen who help power our communities every day. Attendees will also have chances to win fantastic prizes, including an iPad, Apple Watch, bounce house, and more. Bring the family and make plans to be part of this energetic and memorable day.
Spend the day treasure hunting at The Woodshed Antique Mall during its special summer vendor market on Saturday, June 6 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Visitors can browse outdoor vendors, enjoy in-store sales, enter giveaways, and discover unique antiques, collectibles, handmade items, and hidden gems throughout the property.
Located just a short drive from Vinita's Route 66 Centennial Celebration, this event offers the perfect opportunity to add even more shopping and fun to your weekend.
