Bring the whole family to the 20th Annual Shawna Stovall Back to School Children’s Powwow for a weekend filled with culture, community, and fun before the new school year begins! Held July 31 & August 1, 2026 at the ESTOO Powwow Grounds in Wyandotte, the event features children’s dance contests, gourd dancing, live activities, giveaways, dinner, and entertainment for all ages.
Friday night activities include flint knapping, a safari petting zoo, face painting, bounce houses, backpack and school supply giveaways, and more. Saturday’s celebration continues with gourd dancing, dinner, Grand Entry, and special contests for Junior Boys, Junior Girls, and Tiny Tots. Vendors are welcome, and the entire event is free for the community to attend.
